How to use your mobile phone to capture great shots of your fast moving pet

Pets have 4 legs, and you only have 2, so let's go! Learn how to maximize Pictar’s awesome features and freeze spectacular moments of your furry friends.

1. Sturdy grip for quick maneuvering

Fast-moving pets can be a challenge if you want to catch them on your mobile phone. That's where Pictar's grip comes into play, offering a sturdy grip and giving you that extra assurance your phone won't drop and fall out of your hand when trying to catch your pet in action.

2. Location!

As with any shoot, choosing an interesting location can help produce great images. When you want to capture your pet on the move, think about the background too, and how it works with the picture you have in mind, whether its throwing your dog a stick or a ball, or catching your horse running through the meadow.

3. Shutter Speed

You can opt for the Auto setting of your mobile phone, but if you want to get creative Pictar allows you to choose different shutter speeds on the fly and play around with "frozen" action images versus blurred backgrounds while following your pet.

4. Exposure Compensation

Use Pictar’s exposure compensation wheel to fine-tune your image, and add a little bit of detail while maintaining the overall richness of your photo.

Position your subject as you wish, there’s no right or wrong here, simply a matter of personal taste.

5. White Balance

Play around with WB to give the images a warmer or colder feel

6. Half-press to focus

Shooting fast moving images is where Pictar really makes a difference. You can half-press the shutter release button with Pictar and follow your pet till you decide to shoot just like you'd do with a DSLR, or full press if caught with a spontaneous shot.
